This enterprise-wide initiative is designed to inspire audiences to appreciate and protect the natural world through the power of storytelling. Exciting New Content and Experiences for Earth Month Throughout April, Disney and National Geographic will introduce new content, digital activations, and experiential events to engage fans worldwide. The ourHOME campaign aims to showcase conservation efforts while allowing fans to discover more reasons to love our planet. Returning after a successful first year, the ourHOME campaign aligns with Disney and National Geographic’s commitment to transformative storytelling that deepens connections to nature. This initiative also coincides with the 30th anniversary of the Disney Conservation Fund (DCF), which will award over $500,000 in grants this April to nonprofit organizations focused on youth engagement with nature and wildlife conservation. Exclusive Earth Month Releases on Disney+ and National Geographic Disney+ will feature the ourHOME Collection, a year-round celebration of the planet through acclaimed documentaries and films. Plus, three global premieres will debut during Earth Week: “Secrets of the Penguins” (April 20, National Geographic, streaming April 21 on Disney+ & Hulu) – Hosted by Emmy-winning Nat Geo Explorer Bertie Gregory and narrated by Blake Lively, this documentary explores penguin behaviors captured on film for the first time. “Sea Lions of the Galapagos” (April 22, Disney+) – Narrated by Brendan Fraser, this film follows Leo, a young sea lion, as he embarks on a journey through the Galapagos Islands. “Guardians of the Galapagos” (April 22, Disney+) – Narrated by Blair Underwood, this behind-the-scenes documentary explores the conservation efforts in the Galapagos. Engage with Nat Geo’s ourHOME Social Media Challenge As National Geographic remains the most-followed brand on social media, the ourHOME campaign will be highlighted across Disney and Nat Geo platforms. Fans can participate in the Nat Geo Your Shot ourHOME challenge by sharing nature-inspired images with the hashtag #NatGeoYourShotOurHOME for a chance to be featured on @NatGeoYourShot. Disney’s Commitment to Sustainability and Conservation Disney’s efforts to support the planet extend beyond content releases. Activations across Disney theme parks and resorts will highlight Earth Month, including: Special “Secrets of the Penguins” photo ops and themed kids’ menus at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Danni Washington, a science communicator, will host discussions at the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival (April 5-6). The Zero Waste Art Challenge returns to Disneyland Resort, showcasing creative projects made from recycled materials. Disney Cruise Line will screen “Magic of Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point,” a documentary highlighting Disney’s commitment to sustainable tourism. Shanghai Disney Resort will host the “Celebrate Earth Month Fair” (April 18-22) with interactive activities focused on conservation.
