🚨 BREAKING: GROUND DELAY issued at MCO, effecti 🚨 BREAKING: GROUND DELAY issued at MCO, effective immediately 10/30/25

Flights to MCO are experiencing significant delays. Averaging about 161 minutes (nearly 3 hours), due to a ground delay program implemented because of staffing shortages in Orlando. Earlier today the FAA warned there would be no certified air traffic controllers working tonight, and is now relying on air traffic control supervisors to help keep flights moving.

If you’re traveling with kids, here are a few airport survival tips to make the wait a little easier:

🧩 Create an airport scavenger hunt — Have your kids spot certain signs, colors, or airlines.
🍕 Turn snack time into an adventure — Let them pick one “special” treat from an airport shop.
🎬 Download shows or movies now — Wi-Fi can be spotty when everyone’s streaming.
✈️ Storytime — Have them look out the terminal window, pick an airplane and make up a fun story about it. Where did it come from? Where’s it going? Are there any famous people on it?
🚶‍♀️ Walk it out — Explore terminals and burn some energy before boarding.

💡 Pro tip: Follow your airline’s app for real-time updates before heading to the gate — many are adjusting departure times as conditions evolve.

Navigating the Magic: Why Kingdom Strollers is my Go-To Stroller Rental Company at Walt Disney World

Kristi DeRubertis, September 24, 2024September 24, 2024

One of the most discussed topics among our group of families who travel to Walt Disney World with young children is strollers. The debate often centers around whether to rent one or bring your own from home, and how to choose the best one for your family. Allow me to share some insights we have gained over the years while traveling with our three boys.

First and foremost, I highly recommend getting a stroller. If you have a child aged 7 or under, do not hesitate to bring a stroller. Disney World can be incredibly tiring, with visitors often walking upwards of 10 miles a day on average in the parks. Children’s legs tire quickly, and having a stroller can be a lifesaver when navigating through crowds or trying to reach a destination quickly. It’s far better to have a stroller than to carry a tired, cranky child through the park or risk leaving them behind in Fantasyland. Additionally, ensure that you have a seat for each child in your group. As a mother of multiple children, I have learned from experience that sharing one stroller can lead to conflicts and discomfort. Having a stroller for each child ensures that everyone is comfortable and protected, especially in unexpected weather conditions.

The next question I’m always asked is how parents can go about obtaining a stroller. Many families opt to bring their own stroller from home, as it can be convenient, especially at the airport. Your child is already familiar with the stroller, and there is no learning curve involved. If you have a stroller that you love and that works well for your family, I recommend bringing it along without hesitation. However, as much as we love our stroller at home, I hate traveling with it. It doesn’t fold easily. In fact, when it folds it comes apart and then it’s two pieces. Also traveling with multiple kids and luggage, a stroller is just another thing that can sometimes be a hassle for us. That’s why I choose to rent.

The most convenient, affordable, and optimal method for renting strollers at Walt Disney World or anywhere in the Orlando area is through Kingdom Strollers, and I highly recommend them for so many reasons.

Kingdom Strollers is a family owned business, that strives for the best customer service, efficiency and value for all of its patrons. Kingdom Strollers has Disney World stroller rental delivery for their strollers and cribs free of charge to all Disney hotels, off-site hotels or vacation homes. Kingdom Strollers is also approved by Disney, and is only one of three business with the Disney Featured Stroller Provider Designation.

I’ve used Kingdom Strollers a handful of times, and each time the stroller was impeccably clean. Even giving the appearance of being brand new. The meticulous attention to detail in its cleaning process reflects Kingdom Strollers’ commitment to ensuring families have a comfortable stroller rental experience. As evidenced in the photo, my children absolutely adored the stroller. Its comfort was so exceptional that my toddler rarely wanted to walk, unlike other families we observed who seemed exhausted from dragging their tired children around the parks. Thanks to the stroller, my kids were able to sit back, relax, and truly savor their time at Disney World.

One of the main reasons I continue to choose Kingdom Strollers time and time again is because of the convenience they offer.

When you reserve a stroller, you have the option to either pick it up directly at the airport or have it delivered to the main lobby of your Disney Resort hotel. The stroller is available for the duration of your reservation and can be brought in and out of parks, on Disney transportation, and used to keep your personal belongings organized during your trip. Often times people forget that when renting a stroller though Disney Parks, you will be required to turn your stroller in before leaving the park. If you are park hopping to another park you can pick up another rental stroller once you arrive if you have a receipt. However, if you are going to a resort or even Disney Springs, you will not have access to a stroller. With Kingdom Strollers, the stroller is yours to take wherever for the duration of the rental! Use it just like it is your own stroller. Additionally, each stroller is labeled with the name on your reservation, making it easier to locate among the many strollers in the parks.

TPM Pro Tips:

  • All Stroller Rentals from Kingdom Strollers come with a complimentary parent console organizer that is attached to the handlebar, a complimentary rain cover fit for the stroller, and a small cooler bag.
  • Remember: Strollers need to be folded on all Disney busses and double strollers must be folded on the Skyliner. Larger ferry boats as well as the monorail do allow you to keep strollers open where the smaller water taxi boats do require them to be folded.
  • Bring yourself an empty reusable bag to carry all of the scattered items collected in the stroller throughout the day- I like to call this the “Oh Shit!” bag… Like “Oh Shit, the bus is coming!” It’s that moment of panic as you try to gather all of your belongs and get the stroller folded and bus ready that this reusable bag is key! Toss all the loose stuff in and then when you get back to your resort you can reorganize and prep for the next day. You’ll thank me later.
  • Carabiner hooks or “Mommy hooks” are not very costly and are worth bringing along to attach to your stroller. We hook our water bottles right on these for easy access. Kingdom Strollers also offers these for an additional cost to add on to your rental, as well as snack trays to rent at an additional cost.

At Kingdom Strollers, inclusivity is key. They offer specialty strollers designed to provide comfort and support for children with disabilities, ensuring that every member of your family can join in on the fun without missing a beat. Kingdom Strollers not only offers practical advantages like convenience and affordability but also ensures a comfortable and safe experience for both parents and children during their theme park visit.

There’s no doubt that renting a stroller with Kingdom Strollers will significantly enhance your family’s vacation experience at popular destinations like theme parks. Offering a range of benefits, from convenience and cost savings to quality and comfort, Kingdom Strollers provides a hassle-free solution for families with young children. In this article, we will explore the top reasons why renting a stroller with Kingdom Strollers is a smart choice for families looking to make the most of their theme park adventures.
